12 Challenge - Mojo Monday #494

"Lost in the Post" 1/4 fold card for Mojo Monday #494 I always forget the postage stamp collection when making cards. Finally I remembered! So I gave myself a little pat on the back. Even with a little lace, this card has a masculine look. It's a look that says "from me to you" by a little feminine touch.

11 Challenge - Moo Mania "Faces"

"A Little Prince" ACEO for Moo Mania "Faces" "L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." Inspired by the art of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. A carefree brush pen, colouring outside the lines. An expression that looks beyond the page? If you have a good quantity of washi tape, experiment with collage! I treat it like precious treasure, but really, it comes many meters to a roll. Sometimes it is better to play with no worries~ Try it just a little! Materials: Faber-Castell brush pen, Bic Mark-It, Copics, and washi tape. (Scanned on designer paper due to the light colours.)

10 Challenge - Sketch Saturday #460

"Hello Flower Girl" square card for Sketch Saturday #460 A sweet, girlish card to cheer up someone's day. Is it dark and gloomy outside? Don't worry, Hello Kitty understands~ That's the kind of thought I had with Hello Kitty on this rainy day. After the rain will be beautiful flowers~ I told myself that as I covered my head and ran!

7 Challenge - Mojo Monday #493

"Happy Choo-loween!" 1/4 fold card for Mojo Monday #493 A bit of pattern paper (left), a bit of tea-stained paper (right), a bit of construction paper (centre). I was surprised at how well the construction paper embossed! I love using paper tape, as well as creating my own unique papers. I hope it also gives you a smile~

6 Challenge - Crafting When We Can #142

"Yotsuba & Hula!" #10 card for Crafting When We Can #142 - "One for the Girls" Another one from the scrap bin~ Long card featuring one of the happiest girls I know, Yotsuba! She wears a lei of her signature four-leaf clovers, which represent her happy-go-lucky nature. Punch by Stampin' Up.

"Best Owlet" 1/4 fold card for Freshly Made Sketches #283 A sweet owl card using an idea seen on Jennifer McGuire Ink : the pastel layer is  a swathe of plain cardstock, heat embossed with purple glitter powder.

4 Challenge - Sketch Saturday Week #459

"Smiley Cat" 1/4 fold card for Sketch Saturday Week #459 A cheerful card for any occasion, made from stash scraps. I like the simplicity of this sketch. The little banner stole my heart.

1 Challenge - Moo Mania "Egypt"

"Sun Bird" 1/4 page flat card created for Moo Mania 's Egypt challenge After considering famous landmarks, cats, or hieroglyphs, I chose to follow my first instinct, wetland birds. To me, Egypt brings to mind nature films, and these birds are always the stars. I combined with the turquoise and gold of famous artifacts to evoke "Ancient Egypt." Heron (freehand): Bic Mark-It, metallic Sharpie. Tail attached by copper brad, gently swings half-circle (about 1 o'clock to 7 o'clock position). Background paper: Sponge daubed and stamped in Stampin' Up "Crushed Curry" ink, "Wetlands" stamp. Gold-flecked by lightly stamping each layer with Stampabilities pigment ink pad. Fun fact: Features a bath salts wrapper. After lying in scrap box for a while, it has found a good home.~

3 Challenge - Just Add Ink #355

"Flowers in Her Hair" 6-bar fold card created for Just Add Ink 's #355 Sketch Challenge This is quite a large card, for a big -POP- of colour in the mailbox. Much thanks to the double-pleated fold tutorial by  From Me To You Paper Crafts . I looked up the technique after seeing it on Pinterest. It's so easy but fancy. Now I have a reason to look for double-sided paper. . . . Stampin' Up "Birthday Bash" DSP, "Label Love" stamp & coordinating punch. Flower dies came in the box with Evolution Advanced.

2 Challenge - CAS(E) this Sketch #217

"Hello, Chicky!" partial die cut, 1/4 fold card for CAS(E) this Sketch #217 Spring is in the air (around here, summer/winter, alternately). Birds are singing, the sun is shining . . . it's time for April flowers! I've only just heard of card styles like "Clean and Simple" (on So Suzy podcast), so here is my first intentional "CAS." This design uses pre-fabricated elements: glitter paper and a felt chick. Easy assembly - cut and stick! - makes a quick option for card kits, beginners, or batch production.
