"Sun Bird"
1/4 page flat card created for
Moo Mania's Egypt challenge
After considering famous landmarks, cats, or hieroglyphs,
I chose to follow my first instinct, wetland birds.
To me, Egypt brings to mind nature films,
and these birds are always the stars.
I combined with the turquoise and gold of famous artifacts
to evoke "Ancient Egypt."
Heron (freehand):
Bic Mark-It, metallic Sharpie.
Tail attached by copper brad,
gently swings half-circle
(about 1 o'clock to 7 o'clock position).
Background paper:
Sponge daubed and stamped in
Stampin' Up "Crushed Curry" ink, "Wetlands" stamp.
Gold-flecked by lightly stamping each layer with Stampabilities pigment ink pad.
Fun fact:
Features a bath salts wrapper.
After lying in scrap box for a while, it has found a good home.~
Just BEAUTIFUL ! Thank you for joining Moo Mania & More!
